Outdoor spaces not to yawn about.
When you think of doing a home renovation, most of the time you think about the big-ticket items that will get you the most bang for your buck. Such as the kitchen or master bathroom, but what about your backyard or front porch. Although these don't typically get a high return on investment, it is something worth celebrating about. When you add curb appeal to your home it automatically gives your home a happy inviting feeling that resonates with not only, yourself, but your neighbors and potential home buyers. The sense of pride you get from being able to hang out on your front porch and enjoy your landscaped yard with your family, friends, and neighbors outways the potential return on your investment. This also goes for your backyard. When you carve out a piece of tranquility in your backyard the return isn't guaranteed, but making a potential homeowner falling in love with the space, because they can see themselves either sitting under a great tree reading a book or enjoying the yard with the kids and the dog makes up for any investment losses. While sometimes it's difficult to get ideas, there are plenty of them out there. You can also consult a landscaping company to help you with the design. If you don't have the money to hire a landscaping company or you are more of a do it yourself type person, there are plenty of places to look for some inspirational ideas. Or just go outside and just start by doing little things like planting a small flower garden or putting flowers in a pot on your porch.
